Disappointment

You turned last night into eternity

You brought time to an arrest

You slipped your eyes upon mine

A piercing gaze consumed me

My mind was blurred by you

I couldn't think or speak

All I could hear is a voice

Gallant in all it's timelessness

Yet gentle of the midnight moonlight

As the moments slipped away

My heart rushed across the world

And then it broke into a thousand parts

His silhouette appeared abruptly

The knife was slowly twisting

Filling me with hatred

I couldn't bare this anguish

I wanted to demolish him

I needed to destroy him

But I could not betray you

I turned around and walked away

Forgetting his existance

My eyes fell upon you for the last time
