You've tried and tried and tried again

Only to find that in the end

It wasn't enough to change yourself

Wasn't enough to become someone else.

You don't know what else to do

You've had enough but can't say you're through

So you watch your dreams go down the drain

Watch them as they leave a stain

Because you can never forget the past you've had

Never forget it no matter how bad.

Only asking to feel at ease

Nobody hearing your silent pleas.

You walk around lonely and scared

Wishing that someone out there really cared

You ask yourself the question why

Even though you never get a reply

Wondering if what you did was right or wrong

Wondering if you will ever find where you belong
