Experience

I haven't experienced much.

I've never lost someone dear to me -

Thank God.

I've never been through natural disasters -

I'm lucky.

I've never been in an accident,

I've never broken a bone -

I've been safe.

I've never had to start my life over

In some foreign land -

I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be

To leave everything behind.

So what can I say that I have learnt in my life?

I've learnt to love.

I love the people around me.

I can't imagine living in a world without them!

I love the people who left me.

They've touched my heart,

And I cherish the times we've spent together,

And we can still create more memories.

I've learnt to love and appreciate where I am,

How I am.

Because I am safe.

I've learnt of God's boundless love,

The love that He gives the world,

The love I'm learning to share with others.

Love is great.

So I've experienced love,

The most astounding experience one can ever have.

And this is a beautiful experience.
