You left me on a cold, heartless day

The chilled wind blew your love away

Imbued bitterness within your words

Left no recognition of my self worth

Confused, I searched my heart for answers

Alone, I grieved for enduring time

Until with my last strength I became my own

I went on living, and found my heart had grown.
