Our Love
Around you are a million twinkling stars;
In your eyes the shades of green in your sea;
I’m lost in the vastness of your gaze;
In your quivering lips a rhapsody;
In your breath the warm sigh of languishing hope;
Your heartbeat within my own, we are one soul.
Within each beat a million strings are played;
Each resonance holds their own;
Your fire etched upon this single strand of time,
As our love creates its song;
Each kiss is savored with sweet caress;
Gentle fingers know our form;
Our love is shared for safe keeping;
Long after the dusk becomes the dawn.

This poem is perfect, you are way beyond novice, I would say expert, and I love your vocab. it's shows the intellectual side of your poems, and your metaphors are great...

Thank you for your kind words. I'm always apprehensive about posting my poems. I'm never sure my form is acceptible and cohesive. I'm learning. Thanks!

I am also learning to as I write. Most poems I post are just from coming to the site and writing as I go. I haven't actually wrote a poem on paper in a long time lol. But I totally love you posts so keep up the great work and it will all pay off for you.
