Sunshine
There was once darkness, something hiding the light from my face
The feeling of never been loved but feeling vulnerable
The time she laid her light on me I knew there was something different
Sunshine
She were the sun that I have been longing for
Her tender heart aching to be loved in return
I can only imagine how she felt when she came across this cold heart
But she were my sunshine,
Every body needs a little of that light
And like dawn she pushed through
Through the darkness
Through the façade I have been wearing for so long
As I watched her laying there her blonde hair straight over the white pillows
It reveals truth that she is my sunshine
She let me be stronger
She makes me feel happiness
Hearing her laughter
The skin of her burning into mine as she drapes her finger tips over mine
I found myself in places that I never knew I would found myself in
She were my sunshine
She were the sunshine I were waiting for my whole life
So why don’t you take me
Take me anywhere or every where
Just a touch of your warmth
Against my cold heart
Just a touch of your heart
But like the dawn you push all the dark away
You were my sunshine
