Time For Truth

It’s a time for truth, a time for healing

A time to sift through jumbled thoughts and emotions

A time to realize what was, is, and will be.

Just as sands stir, swept away with the Sea’s wake

And as waves crash upon one another in the tempest

So too does truth pound its way into our heart

It’s heavy laden mass burdening the mind

Uncertainty lures us beyond the crest of knowledge

Overwhelming pain drowning us under its weight

Time to overcome the insecurities we have built within

Time to brandish the doubt and face what has remained buried

We believe what we want to believe,

We embrace only that which we choose

Sad to discover what was embraced was not the real truth.

Move forward accepting what is; live life redefined.
